[18 Nov 2024] Invitation to Meet the APSCE EC Members Session
Dear ICCE 2024 Participants,
In conjunction with the 2nd Showcase of Advancements in Technology-Enhanced Learning in Underrepresented Countries (SATELUC) at ICCE’24, the SATELUC co-chairs are thrilled to host a "Meet the APSCE (Asia-Pacific Society for Computers in Education) EC (Executive Committee) Members" session. This event will take place on 27 November, 14:00-15:00, at the ICCE conference venue. While the session is primarily intended for SATELUC authors and presenters, we warmly welcome other ICCE participants, especially those from underrepresented countries or attending ICCE for the first time.
We are honoured to announce that Prof. Maria Mercedes T. Rodrigo, APSCE President, has graciously accepted our invitation to be the Guest of Honor. Additional distinguished EC members will also be joining us. This informal gathering is designed to facilitate networking in a relaxed setting, allowing us to establish meaningful connections. It provides an excellent opportunity to learn more about APSCE and ICCE, as well as explore ways to become more involved in APSCE and ICCE events.
We look forward to meeting you at this exciting gathering!
Warm regards,
Lung-Hsiang Wong, Mas Nida Khambari, Ivica Boticki, Nur Aira Abd Rahman & Saida Ulfa

[17 Nov 2024] Tutorial 2 Session Pre-Registration
You are invited to participate in the Tutorial 2 session - Designing Learning Experiences for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Education using Minecraft!
Held in conjunction with ICCE 2024, this tutorial session aims to introduce the participants to the What-If Hypothetical Implementations in Minecraft (WHIMC), and provide a step-by-step guide on how learning experiences can be designed using WHIMC to nurture interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). WHIMC is a set of computer simulations built in Minecraft to engage students in “what if” questions such as “What if Earth had no moon?” or “What if Earth had a slightly colder sun?” WHIMC immerses students in these alternate versions of Earth, giving them opportunities to see how the planet’s geography and life forms would differ under these circumstances. It enables students to use science tools to collect data about these alternate Earths and record their observations.
The event will focus on going through each stage of learning experience development with the participants so they can succeed in achieving the learning outcomes and increased interest of their students in learning STEM concepts, skills and careers.
ICCE 2024 participants can register for FREE. Only 20 slots will be offered for the tutorial. We hope to see you there!
